Care & Sizing
Garment Care
Wash your clothes inside out. Always choose the shortest cycle that will get the clothes clean. For top-loading machines add the detergent first and some water, and then your clothes. Avoid overfilling your machines. Wash similar items together. Use the coldest setting your washing machine offers if instructed to wash in a machine. Tumble dry your clothes on the lowest setting on your machine or better yet hang dry. Use dryer balls and ensure that your lint trap is clean. Do not use any fabric softener, as this can damage your clothes.
Garment Issues
Shrinking - For Cotton:
Fill a large sink with lukewarm water and 2-3 tablespoons of hair conditioner. You'll want to let the garment soak for 30 minutes or longer. Then wring it out and put it on a flat surface (like a countertop or table) stretching them and using something to hold them down (mugs and jars work great for this) and let them dry fully. You can also put the garment on while still damp. Either method will relax the fibers. Once dry, you can take an iron to them on a low setting and they are good to go. You'll want to avoid putting them in the dryer in future washes and hang to dry.
Fading:
Garments fade for a variety of reasons but the sun is the most common source of fading. Garment Dyed items will also fade naturally and is intended.
Smell:
If your garment has developed a bit of a funk and is washable, use the normal method you would use to wash the garment but add 1 cup of vinegar without detergent and hang to dry. There shouldn’t be a vinegar after smell but if you’re still smelling it once the garment is fully dry, give it another wash without the vinegar and your clothes are funk free.
What is normal wear and tear?
Wear and tear is the expected deterioration that is a result of wearing and caring for the product. While we select our products with quality and durability in mind, every product has an expected lifetime. The expected lifetime of a product will differ by category, how often you use the product, how you care for it, etc.

Thank you for shopping with Dark Muse Threads! Each item in our store is custom-made just for you through our print-on-demand process. Because of this, we do not accept returns or exchanges, but we proudly offer a 90-Day Satisfaction Guarantee to ensure you have the best possible experience with our products.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, GPay and Venmo. Only one method of payment is accepted at checkout.
How long is shipping?
We use a variety of carriers, though most often USPS First Class Mail.

Finally, a heads up. We require signature for orders over $750 for your security and ours.
Why does my tracking information show "pre-shipment"?
‘Pre-shipment’ from USPS, ‘Pending’ from FedEx, and ‘Shipment ready for UPS’ from UPS has, unfortunately, become standard statuses even after a package has been handed off to the courier. Often in these situations the package is moving through the system, but has missed a scan. So don't fret, you should still be getting your order.
In many cases, the tracking information will be updated within 72 hours, but if you do not see an update in the tracking or delivery within 5 business days from the time you receive your shipment confirmation email, please reach out to us so we can assist.
Can I cancel or change my order?
We all change our mind sometimes. If you've submitted an order online that hasn't shipped yet and you wish to modify or cancel the order, please contact us here so we can help.
If you'd like to make a change - such as request a different size, adjust your shipping address, or cancel your order - please reach out to us right away. We’ll do our best to help but we can’t guarantee any order changes or updates once the order has been placed.
How do I track my order?
Enjoy the ride every step of the way. After making your purchase, you will receive an email receipt and confirmation of your order. You can log-in to your account at any time to track your order. You will also receive an email when your order has shipped. That shipping receipt will also contain the tracking number with a link to track your order.
I accidentally entered the wrong shipping address. How can I correct it?
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make sure that the shipping address entered is correct. We do our best to speed up processing and shipping time, so there is always a small window to correct an incorrect shipping address. Please contact us immediately if you believe you have provided an incorrect shipping address.
How do you ship orders?
All orders are shipped domestic US using ground shipping. We use a variety of carriers, though most often USPS First Class postage.
Please allow 2-5 business days to fulfill an order and issue a tracking number. Shipping updates can take the carrier 3-5 days. Once you receive your tracking number via email and the status is no longer "pre-shipping", you should expect your package within 2-4 business days.
Finally, a heads up. We require signature for orders over $500 for your security and ours.
